Built to end the tab-switching

For years, making content has meant renting nine tools that do not speak to each other — research here, scripts there, a voice priced by the character, and a spreadsheet to remember what shipped where. RookeryOS takes the opposite path. If a creator can describe the piece, RookeryOS can take it from there — because the script, the voice, the cut and the publish all live on one board instead of in nine tools.

It exists because we were publishing video ourselves and spending more of the week on the parts that are not the video — the captions, the thumbnail, the description, the chapter marks, the second cut for vertical. Everything here was built to remove one of those, and we still use it for our own channels. When something is wrong with it, we are usually the ones it is wrong for first.

RookeryOS is built by Blue Heron Companies, a technology and media company in Largo, Florida, founded in 2024 by Thomas Bedell. Blue Heron also builds The Front Desk Company, AgentWorks Studio and EngageSuite360 — sister products, not dependencies. RookeryOS stands on its own.

What it does, in one pass

RookeryOS is a content creation platform. Every video in progress is a card on one board, and the board has seven stages: Idea, Scripted, Filming, Editing, Review, Scheduled and Published. The stage decides which tool opens, so moving a card is the work itself rather than a status update. Hooks are written and scored before anything is rendered, so a weak opening is caught in writing rather than after the render. Voice is synthesised on our own machines, and an unpublished script is never sent to a third-party text-to-speech service.

Who it is for

Creators, agencies and businesses that publish video on a schedule: marketing teams running a channel, agencies running many client brands, real-estate agents producing listing walkthroughs, and interview or panel shows that cut between speakers and screen shares. Every customer’s footage, work and publishing credentials are kept apart from every other customer’s at the database, storage and encryption layers.

What it does not do yet

Publishing is live for YouTube. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X are not connected, and there is no avatar or lip-sync renderer. Both are intended; neither is built, and we would rather say so here than have you find out after signing up.
